Carlisle has a unique all-metal home, called a Lustron Home, that was factory built in the 1940's and shipped to the site for assembly. There were only slightly more than 4000 of these homes built before the company went bankrupt in the 1950s. Only a few hundred remain today. There are three in Warren County. Our historical society has been offered the chance to own this unique home. At this time we do not have the funding nor the space to persue this dream. Property ajacent to the Randleman House may become available in the future.
